Malvern Prep Head Varsity Basketball Coach

Coach Jim Rullo played both high school and college basketball in the Philadelphia area. A Markward Award winner as Inter-Ac League MVP while attending Malvern Prep, he then went to Drexel University to play both baseball and basketball at the NCAA Division I level.

While at Drexel University, 

  • Walk-on Member as a freshman + sophomore
  • Most Improved Player as a sophomore
  • Defensive Player of Year as a junior + senior
  • Team Captain as senior on a team that went 25-5 and earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament

After his collegeiate career, he was an invited participant to the NBA's Minnesota Timberwolves Free Agent Camp.

Over the past 15 years, he has been involved in various capacities as a coach:

  • Drexel University assistant
  • Hobart College assistant
  • Volunteer assistant at Malvern Prep

Currently, he is the head varstiy boys' coach at Malvern Prep where the teams have tallied a 60-29 record in just 3 short seasons.
